MENTAL HEALTH MONOLOGUES
APRIL 2, 2019
WHAT ARE THE MENTAL HEALTH MONOLOGUES?
STRENGTH IN STORIES
We always hear that 1 in 4 Tufts students go to Counseling and Mental Health Services, but what about the lived experiences of those who struggle with mental health issues? To bring about awareness and acceptance, Active Minds is hosting our second annual monologue night for students to share their mental health stories. Submit your own story, perform someone else's story, or come and hear the voices that so often go unheard.

THE EVENT
Where
Mental Health Monologues will be held at Goddard Chapel.
When
The event begins at 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 2nd. You are welcome to come late, but please be respectful of the stories being read and find seats between monologues.
More Information
Trigger and content warnings will be written in the programs for each monologue. Please be mindful of your own mental health and sensitivities, and know that you may leave and re-enter as you need. Mental health professionals will be on-site if the event brings up any feelings you wish to discuss. Those resources will be written in the program and updated here as well.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
SUBMIT A MONOLOGUE
Submit your story to be read at the event! If you feel comfortable, you may read your own story, or you may ask that it be read by a specific person or any other reader. Keep in mind our guidelines, which can be found on the submit a monologue page, linked below. If you choose to read your own story, you must be available for dress rehearsals and the monologue night itself.
APPLY TO BE A READER
Help someone else share their mental health journey by reading their submitted story at the monologue night. You will need to be available March 26th and 30th for rehearsals, as well as the night of the event (April 2nd).
